About Me

       My name is Monique and I am 20 years old. Here is a little back story on why I started this blog and what I want to accomplish on my blog.
        I have always be tall and a bit meaty growing up. I have never been skinny in my life. I was never fat and I am still not fat but I defiantly overweight. I have been blessed to be able to hide it. I always never liked how I look and my dad even tried to get me to lose weight at times but in the end I could not keep the weight off. I am a stress eater and that means when your nervous or stressed or anything you go to food to comfort you. My mom ,now who is my adopted mom but to me she is like my real mom, told me that my birth mom was a really really heavy woman, so I am sure I have some extra weight due to genes.
      I have started diets and never seemed to finish them. I would start with good intentions but then end up right back where I started from. I would cut sweets out but then when I finally have one and end up eating 5. I even started eating right for a time but was not working out enough.
     So, the purpose of this blog is to help me be accountable. I always try to do it on my own and be accountable to myself and it doesn't work.
     My major that I am pursing is Exercise Science. I am fascinated with the body and muscles and work out methods and weight loss, ( Though for me I can't see to keep a pound off). I really enjoy studying about the body and how foods are processed and such. So, doing this blog can help me in my field to apply what I learn into my life and to turn it into a habit to live healthier. So, I want to experience this weight loss so I can help me better understand this field and my future job and family.
    So, how this benefits you: you can comment on posts or email me some tips and such. I will be having alot of people guest posting who are pursing health majors and are actually exercise coaches.
    So, in conclusion, this blog is to help encourage people to try and keep trying even if you mess up on a diet or exercising. So, come follow me as I try to lose weight and learn to practise better habits with my eating and exercise..
